JOB DESCRIPTION

- To protect people and assets through sound judgment and keen observation skills - Access control for the facility or area posted - Patrolling inside or outside as set in the post orders - Ability to operate Security Control Center equipment/ systems, computers, radios, phones. - Ensure that all safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to Fire Alarms and or Site Emergencies - Undertake site specific training as required, follow direction from Supervisor and G4S Management - Follow Post Orders as outlined at the site - Meticulous Record Keeping, Report Writing and Observation Skills - Perform other duties as assigned by Client and or G4S management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and sit for extended periods of time - Ability to work in a range of weather conditions throughout shift including working indoors and outdoors. - MUST be flexible with schedule, shifts vary from 00:00 to 23:59 everyday - Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs - Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills - Positive attitude with professional demeanor and strong interpersonal/customer service skills. - Acting with professionalism and integrity - Provides excellent customer service - Demonstrates an active interest in promoting safety consciousness in the workplace - Supports and inspires co workers - Embraces a learning environment, willing to take courses as directed

PREFERRED EDUCATION

- Minimum 19 years of age, High School diploma, and good physical health. - Security Industry experience preferred - Licensed as a security guard by the Province of British Columbia - Emergency First Aid preferred
